The Brazil-U.S. Business Council is the premier business advocacy organization dedicated to strengthening the economic and commercial relationship between the two countries.

BUSBC brings together the bilateral private sector with high level public and private officials from both countries. BUSBC has three regular programs that take place every year, the Brazil Forum Series, Strategic Planning Meeting, and Plenary Meeting. In addition, it also has an ongoing series of events - the Brazil Forum Series - and launched, in 2011, a business summit connected to U.S.-Brazil presidential meetings.

Through its events, the Export Green initiative provides resources to U.S. companies to increase exports of green technologies to Brazil, create jobs, and strengthen American competitiveness in sectors related to green technology.

BUSBC membership permits participation in member exclusive events:

  • Plenary Meeting: The annual Plenary convenes over 200 top executives from the largest U.S. investors in Brazil, Brazil's leading companies, and top decision makers from Brasília and Washington to discuss private sector priorities for the bilateral and hemispheric trade and investment agenda.

  • Brazil Mission: An annual policy advocacy trip to Brasília that brings together high-level executives from U.S. Section member companies and the leadership of the council's Brazil Section to advance business priorities with senior government officials.

  • The Strategic Planning Meeting: This meeting serves as an important opportunity for members to provide valuable input into the council's proposed initiatives for the coming year and ensure that member company priorities are incorporated into our annual program of work.
