Australia first to benefit from Brazil’s E-Visa, U.S. soon

November 1, 2017 by

Australians wishing to visit Brazil as tourists or on business will be the first to benefit from Brazil’s new E-Visa program. Starting on November 21, Australians will be able to apply for the E-Visa online, receiving their visas within 72 hours. Previously, it was necessary to apply in person at Brazilian consulates. Brazil intends to expand the program to the U.S., Canada and Japan starting in January. Later, other countries are likely to be included. The Ministry of Tourism estimates the program could boost incoming visitor flow by as much as 25%.
