A local Brazilian court has once again shut down service throughout the South American country for users of the popular WhatsApp messaging service. A court in the Northeastern state of Sergipe on Monday issued an order shutting down the service nationwide for 72 hours. The judge said the service’s owner, the Brazilian subsidiary of Facebook, has failed to provide client information in a drug dealing investigation. The company denies the allegation, saying it has cooperated with police in the probe. A local court shut down WhatsApp earlier this year for the same reason.
