Brazilian President Michel Temer and Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe on Wednesday signed a long-term accord on infrastructure investment. The two leaders met in Tokyo during an Asian swing by Temer. The accord will result in the creation of a working group which will meet periodically to explore possible Japanese investments in Brazilian infrastructure projects. Temer also met with Japanese business leaders, telling them Brazil was “highly interested” in attracting more foreign investment. Temer made a similar appeal to American investors during meetings in the U.S. last month.
