Brazilian Federal Police on Tuesday executed two arrest warrants and 11 search warrants in a sweeping investigation of alleged bribery and other crimes in relation to the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro. Search warrants included the offices of the Brazilian Olympics Committee and the home of the committee’s chairman, Carlos Nuzman. Police are investigating possible vote buying in the choice of Rio de Janeiro as site of the 2016 games. Police are also investigating allegations of bribery and other crimes in awarding of contracts during the games.
