Brazil“s National Petroleum Agency (ANP) on Tuesday released the final list of companies qualifying to participate in the 16th round of oil exploration bidding. The round takes place on October 10 and will feature auction of exploration rights to 36 offshore blocks. The ANP certified 17 companies, of which only two are Brazilian. The bidding will include a number of heavyweight competitors, such as Petrobras, Chevron, BP and Repsol, among others.
