Brazilian Minister of Tourism Henrique Alves resigned Thursday, just days after accusations he took part in an illegal campaign finance scheme. Alves was cited in police testimony by former oil executive Sérgio Machado, who said Alves obtained funds illegally from state-run oil company Petrobras for use in political campaigns. Alves has denied the charges. Alves is the third Cabinet member to resign from the newly installed administration of Acting President Michel Temer.
