The congressional caucus of the Brazilian Socialist Party on Thursday night said its members will vote in favor of a motion to impeach Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff. The Chamber of Deputies is likely to vote on the motion within the next two weeks. The Socialist Party holds 31 seats in the Chamber of Deputies. Some 342 votes are needed to adopt an impeachment motion. In a brief statement, the party cited alleged violations of budget laws by President Rousseff, saying the violations were “sufficient justification” for impeachment.
