On Tuesday, November 27th, the Brazil-U.S. Business Council hosted a roundtable meeting with São Paulo Representative and son of the President-elect, Eduardo Bolsonaro, of the Social Liberal Party (PSL). The meeting allowed member companies and the Representative to discuss the changing political and economic scenario in Brazil and the plans to strengthen the bilateral relations with the U.S.

Representative Bolsonaro shared his plans to build a strong Congressional coalition and expand Brazil’s relationship with key foreign partners with a focus on the U.S. On the domestic side, he emphasized the need for the upcoming government to prioritize security, anti-corruption measures and continuing with the structural economic reforms.

Rep. Eduardo Bolsonaro is currently serving his second-term representing São Paulo in the Brazilian House of Representatives and was the most voted lawmaker in Brazil’s history, receiving 1.9 million votes during the 2018 Elections.
