Advocacy Mission to São Paulo

Ponte EstaiadaDear Brazil Council Members:

We welcome you to register for our first state level advocacy mission taking place May 19-20 in São Paulo! The state of São Paulo serves as the main engine of Brazil’s economy and therefore plays a crucial role in shaping the policy agenda to restore economic growth. Our mission serves as an opportunity to focus on advancing key components of our policy agendas in Infrastructure, Tax & Investment, Defense & Security, Healthcare and Consumer Goods & Retail. We will discuss topics related to state level tax administration, reverse logistics, infrastructure investment, among others, with the objective of expanding the government-to-business dialogue for our members and offering solutions to address some of the state’s toughest issues.

Meeting requests have been extended to the following government officials:

-Governor of state of São Paulo
-State Secretary of Finance
-State Secretary of Logistics and Transportation
-State Secretary of Economic Development, Science and Technology
-State Secretary of Health
-State Secretary of Environment
-Executive Director of State Consumer Protection Agency
-Mayor of city of São Paulo

We will also host meetings with our partners, FIESP, CNI and AmCham, to discuss our programs in infrastructure and defense & security.

U.S. Consul General, Ricardo Zuniga, will join us for portions of our mission, which will include a welcome reception on the evening of May 19 so please mark your calendars!

See SP Mission Agenda. The mission will include two tracks in the afternoon to maximize value for all participants. Here are the Sector Specific Agendas.

We look forward to having you join us in São Paulo! For more information on sponsoring a meeting or event, contact Bruno Schwartz.

Warm regards,

Your Brazil Council team
