Luncheon with His Excellency Michel Temer, President of Brazil, Eduardo Guardia, Minister of Finance, and other Government Authorities
The U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s Brazil-U.S. Business Council and the Brazilian American Chamber of Commerce in New York hosted a luncheon in honor of His Excellency Michel Temer, President of the Federative Republic of Brazil, Eduardo Guardia, Minister of Finance, and other government authorities including:
Aloysio Nunes Ferreira, Minister of External Relations
Moreira Franco, Minister of Mine and Energy
Sergio Westphalen Etchegoyen, Minister of the Cabinet for Institutional Security
Mauro Vieira, Permanent Representative of Brazil to the United Nations
U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s Executive Vice President and Head of International Affairs, Myron Brilliant moderated a discussion with President Temer. In his remarks, Temer highlighted the accomplishments that have taken place under his administration, expressed confidence in Brazil’s democracy, in the stability of the economy, and their ability to develop the country’s partnership with foreign investors. Temer also ensured he will do everything in his power to approve the Pension Reform before the end of his term.
Following the President’s remarks, Managing Director of Emerging Markets at Bank of America Merrill Lynch Ashely Keepping conducted an interview with Brazil’s Minister of Finance Eduardo Guardia.
