Visas to Brazil

ShareThis

If you are an American citizen, you are required to obtain a visa on your passport prior to entering Brazil. If you are not American, you can check if your country is exempted here. Some Countries do not require visa to Brazil for tourism or business for stays of up to 90 days.

Please see below for more information on Brazilian visas and consulates. For further information, please visit the websites of the Brazilian General Consulate in New York and in Washington, D.C. and reference the Amcham Brazil's Guide on How to Obtain Visas for Brazil.

Plan your visa application in advance, as it takes the Consulate at least 5 business days to issue a visa. Longer periods may apply, especially in the high season. There are no rush or emergency fees. Visas cannot be issued on the same day the application is received.
