Washington, DC 20062
Please join the Brazil-U.S. Business Council for a roundtable discussion with Minister Luís Inácio Lucena Adams, Brazilian Solicitor General. Prior to being appointed by President Lula to lead the Solicitor's General Office in late 2009, Minister Adams served as the Attorney General for Brazilian Ministry of Finance.
Minister Adams will share with event participants his views on the perspectives for tax reform in Brazil after this year's general elections. He will also provide an outlook on alternative ways to improve the complex Brazilian tax system until a broad tax reform discussion is concluded. Among those alternatives could be the passage of the tax mediation bill authored by Minister Adams and introduced to Congress last year.
Minister Adams is a knowledgeable government official in Brazil and we anticipate a productive discussion. We hope you can join us for this unique opportunity. Please note that there is no fee to attend, but space is limited and registration will be on a first come, first served basis.
RSVP: To register, please send your name, title, and affiliation to Katayoun Shahrokhi at firstname.lastname@example.org. Please also contact Katayoun should you have any questions or if you are interested in sponsorship opportunities.
